Preheat oven to 180C. Line 16 muffin cups with muffin papers.

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.

In a large bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light.

Beat in egg, followed by sour cream. Slowly alternate between adding the dry ingredients and the Orangina to the butter mixture, ending with an addition of dry ingredients.

Evenly distribute the batter into the prepared muffin cups, filling each about 3/4 of the way full.

Bake for 17-21 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the centre comes out clean.

Leave to cool.

To make the frosting, beat the cream cheese and butter in a large bowl until well-combined.

Blend in Orangina and gradually add in the sugar until the mixture reaches a thick, easy-to-spread consistency.

Spread onto cooled Orangina cupcakes.
